Observations about Neil Young, part one

Neil Young’s lyrics don’t totally make sense. Often they start out making sense and then stop abruptly.

This is both good and bad. It’s good because you can project any sentiment you like onto his words. It’s bad because you know they mean something. If you were reading a book and found that someone had ripped out the last fifty pages, you couldn’t be satisfied just making up the rest.
